Excellent teacher, knowledgeable and patient I was very fortunate to find Elpida. I have limited time because I have a toddler to take care of. Elpida is very patient and accommodating. She comes weekly to my house and we also have Skype lessons from time to time. I moved to Greece with a basic knowledge of Greek but she has encouraged me to speak and feel more comfortable conversing with strangers. She has also encouraged me to sit the intermediate exams and has spent many hours helping me prepare. She has excellent knowledge and never hesitates to explain and help me with my difficulties. Elpida is an excellent teacher and she has greatly helped my study of Greek Elpida is patient and methodical in the way she teaches me (via 1 hr Skype sessions based on lessons from a Greek text book) , making the learning of Greek (which I find difficult) actually enjoyable. Although I still struggle with pronunciation my understanding of Greek grammer and syntax has increased markedly after only 16 or so lessons. I would recommend Elpida to any student of Greek. I highly recommend Elpida Zoula to any student of Greek Language Elpida is an intelligent woman and an excellent teacher. We are having classes once or twice a week and she is always motivating me to learn, study and speak Greek. During the week I am inspired to do my homeworks and she sends me feedback and corrections almost immediately. From the first class onwards it is clear see that she is a professional teacher. She teaches me how to communicate clearly and with correct grammar. I am always looking forward to my class with Elpida. Highly skilled Greek Teacher. Elpida is an excellent Modern Greek teacher. She has a good clear voice with an educated Athenian accent. She has translated Greek into English, and reading her translation you would get the impression she was English! I am impressed with the effort and skill she puts towards each lesson. I highly recommended Elpida as a language teacher Coming here all the way from queensland Australia not knowing a thing about the greek language, grammer or culture. elpida has made learning the language seem easier than i ever thought possible. she is very understaqnding and most important i think, very patient, over all she is a wonderful person, a great, and professional teacher and would highly recommend her to anyone wishing to learn the greek language. I heartily recommend Elpida Zoula as a teacher Elpida is very patient, and very thorough. I am in England, she in Athens, so our lessons are conducted via Skype. It works well, because the warmth of her personality and her zeal for her subject shine through as though we were together in the classroom. Knowing a little of the language already, I came to her lessons as an "improver". Patiently, she allows me time to work out and firm up such vocabulary and grammar as I may already know, whilst thoroughly and painstakingly explaining new material as she introduces it. After relatively few sessions together, my confidence in using the language is soaring, and I feel that with her help I will progress well. I heartily recommend her as a teacher. I recommend her as a teacher I was very unsure at the beginning, so many things can go wrong with internet. Besides, I am a teacher myself, and that makes me very demanding in my teachers. And completely intolerant... I was extremely fortunate to pair up with Ms. Zoula, not only is she a very good teacher, she is also a very interesting woman with a very charismatic personality. I had had 4 months of Greek with someone else, and in two weeks Ms. Zoula managed to teach me much, much more than I learned in those 4 months! I am very grateful to have found her, and I can only recommend her as a teacher. After I learn as much Greek as I can, I will possibly go on having lessons with her, for the sheer pleasure of it.
