Teaching approach:	For prospective English students "The Elements of Style" by Strunk and White is a good example of how my method would look like. Although Strunk and White are concerned with style and usage, a rather advanced topic in any language one undertakes to study, the structure of my lessons are very much based on this invaluable little book. I begin by providing a good concise explanation of the rules of say, the subjunctive mood, when is it used and what are the proper forms, illuminating the whole with good examples. Moreover, I demand that the student ask me questions or raise concerns about what I and just explained. The next most important thing is practice. At least 80% of learning anything is practice through repetition, a somewhat tiring task, but absolutely necessary. Then, the student is asked to apply what he has learned in previous lessons as the course goes along.
