I am interested in making sure the student understands each stage thoroughly before moving on, and linking the different aspects of language to their own as often as possible to make it easier. I ensure that the student gains a sound level of grammar in the language. I believe oral practise is as important as written, the student should be able to converse as well as they can write the language. I know the struggle of learning the Spanish language. I felt like giving up many times but continued because of the need I had to learn it. I believe that full immersion is the best way to learn. Although this is difficult when you are not living in a Spanish speaking country it can be done. I frown on the use of English whether it is from myself or a student but realize that it is sometimes necessary. Students will be taught at a level and pace they feel comfortable with. |
