I am an experienced tutor/teacher of Mandarin. I lived in China for over three years, studied at Peking University and passed the national Chinese proficiency exam. Being an American who learned Mandarin from square one to fluency I know the best ways to go about it for someone without a background in Chinese. I explain things in English that are integral to efficient and effective Mandarin study as a foreigner that a mother tongue Mandarin speaker wouldn’t have gone through. This makes me very suited to instructing beginner and intermediate level students of Mandarin. I focus on pronunciation , writing, and conversation drilling.
