Mastering a foreign language is difficult, but possible. The goal at first should not be mastery, but familiarity. A general familiarity with the language will build up and then comes mastery! My approach to teaching is this:
I will teach you WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW FIRST because in that way, you will learn the language better. I don't start teaching the basic grammar; I want you to tell me what you want to learn, even random words! And I'll tell how to translate them in return.
Ang pagiging mahusaysa isang dayuhang wika ay mahirap ngunit posible. Ang layunin sa simula ay hindi dapat ang pagiging mahusay, kundi ang pagkikilala. Ang isang malawakang pagkilala sa wika ay makatutulong sa pagbubuo ng kahusayan nito. Ang aking metodo sa pagtuturo ay:

The lesson dates, times and weekly patterns will be arranged individually with each student, I am very flexible with this, the only restriction is that I work only after 6 o´clock Lisbon time.
I will teach via web cam, voice chat or text.
I will provide software made by myself to teach vocabulary and grammatical rules, to which the student will have to study and test himself everyday at least for 20 minutes, then send the automatically made reports to myself so I know where the student stands.
The students will be provided with a contact to send any questions they have in between lessons.

I always believe to follow the basic. How much the foundation will be strong the future is going to be brighter and brighter for a leaner. I always try to make my students to think in that language which they are learning. Rather than giving only few phrases to memorize I always try to make them think in that language so that they can prepare their own sentences. Therefore please learn the language not the phrases! |
