My method relies heavily on using Italian from the very first lesson. Use of English or Dutch will be very limited in order to encourage students to think actively in Italian from day 1. We will work a lot with audio and written texts and also with many spoken activities to develop fluency. We will also study grammar, but you will actively discover the rules using a variety of techniques. If you have a friend who also wants to learn please come together, a group lesson is by far more effective and fun than single lessons! For those who wish to learn piano as well we can combine the two learning experiences! |

I have a genuine and passionate interest in my country and its language, and I am sure that this passion will reflect during the lessons. The time length depends on the learner, and the teaching method can always be under discussion, depending on the individual needs and preferences of each student. I generally support entertaining teaching methods and find it particularly important to boost the student's interest in several ways. Individual notes and exercizes will be provided, as well as short tests and essays (if needed). Online discussion is also possible, in case the student needs further advice. Greek is a difficult but challenging and beautiful language, and I'm willing to reveal this beauty through the lessons. Lastly, it has to be noted that I have previous, succesful, experience with high school students of age 10-16. |
