The materials I use and the activities I choose are designed to maximise the level of engagement of the student, and provide opportunities for the student to improve his/her communication skills. With Japanese students I try to activate high levels of grammatical knowledge and passive vocabulary that typically mainstream education has provided them, focusing on the development of listening and speaking skills. My personal opinion is that conversation is very important; I give the student the chance to express him-/herself a lot, and while correcting sentences, grammar can be explained more easily...text books or articles are important, too, as they're very necessary for "daily life"....and: We love a lot together, which is - maybe - one of the most important parts in learning, after all. |

I think that practice makes perfect. So with me there will be a lot or reading aloud and conversation. We will work to find reading materials on your level that are fun and helpful. I am pretty flexible and can work around schedules. I prefer lessons to be in a relaxed environment like I coffee shop. I also like to spend the first few minutes of each session reviewing the last session. I can help students with homework or test preparation. I can also help professional Adults with conversation, reading and writing for business. I think you will have a good time studying with me. |
