I believe that a simple word memorizing does not work. I utilize everything: starting with visual aids, games, movies to organizing language meetings. There should be a fun and friendly atmosphere that makes it work. I am a demanding teacher at times, but my former students acknowledge that it worked best for them. Persistence and patience are the main words that help you learn the language. |

I foster a proficiency-b ased approach that focuses on communicating in real-life situations. The students are intensely exposed to the real-life Russian set in the cultural context. In my efforts to accommodate different learning styles (and to keep up the motivation), I use a variety of media in my lessons including written, audio, and video materials as well as interactive computer exercises. |
