I encourage students to get into the flow of conversation. I try to find topics that are of interest to my students to make lessons more fun and interesting, and hopefully more memorable!
These are some of the teaching materials I use:
- Articles about recent news and what is happening in the world
- Subjects like art, science and entertainment
- Recordings or videos and discussion
- We can look at specific requests like practising for a speech or exam
- All of these I can do while giving advice on how to say things in natural sounding English!

The students know their own motivation(s) for wanting to gain proficiency in a language, and I use this to make sure that content is relevant to the students' personal and/or professional goals and aims. I aim utilize role-play and interactive techniques in order to make conversation accessible and simulate actual situations. Having lived for years in foreign countries and been a learner of language myself, I appreciate the need for immersive learning experiences where there is a supportive and helpful relationship. I aim to provide this support at all times. |
