12: Weekdays and Months

Read  the names of the days and the names of the months,

 listen  to the recording, repeat  and learn by heart.

Note: All days and months are masculine = der


Der Wochentag (Singular)  -  Die Wochentage (Plural)

Montag              
Monday
Dienstag
Tuesday
Mittwoch
Wednesday
Donnerstag
Thursday
Freitag
Friday
Samstag
Saturday
Sonntag
Sunday



With week days we use the prepositions "am" and "von .... bis":
 
Am Samstag gehe ich einkaufen.
On Saturday I go shopping.
Am Sonntag gehe ich spazieren.On Sunday I go for a walk.
Von Montag bis Freitag arbeite ich.
From Monday to Friday I work.



Der Monat (Singular)  -  Die Monate (Plural)
