03-C: Auxiliary verbs SEIN = to be + HABEN = to have (Present Tense)

 We use the auxiliary verb "sein" to express how we are or feel.

 Study the example.

sein (to be):     


Ich
 bin
     müde.
   =
      I am tired.
Du
 bist
     nett.
   =
      You are nice.
Er / sie / es
ist
     hungrig.
   =
      He / she / it is hungry.
Wir
 sind
     fertig.
   =
      We are ready.
Ihr
 seid
     langsam.
   =
      You are slow.
Sie / Sie
 sind
     beschäftiht.
   =
      They / You are busy.

 


We use the auxiliary verb "haben" to express what we have got.
