Pronunciation- Continuation

My first lesson was about the usage of alphabet vowel sounds.

(a)    The alphabet vowel  sounds rule is applicable if there are TWO vowel letters in a one- syllable word.
         The two vowel rules are
            1)   The first vowel letter is pronounced with its alphabet vowel sound.
 
            2)   The second vowel letter is silent.
 
(b)    The relative vowels sounds rule is applicable if there is only ONE vowel letter in a short word -
         The one vowel rule is           -  It is   pronounced  with its relative vowel sound.

THE STUDENTS SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT 
THE TWO VOWEL RULE AND THE ONE VOWEL RULE 
ARE THE BASIC THEORIES OF THE VOWEL SOUNDS
