Hello,
I would like to improve my Spanish skills. I have a good basic understanding of the language. My mother is from Mexico City and I have studied Spanish in high school and college. The problem that I have is that I don't get the practice speaking and I have problems with verb conjugation.

I am an ESOL teacher and I would like to be able to communicate with newly arrived students and their parents. I also want to be able to communicate with my boyfriend's Spanish speaking family. I am a beginner and I can understand more than I can produce. I want to concentrate on speaking and conversation. I am serious about learning and will study and practice daily.
Qualities I look for in a lesson include introduction of new vocabulary and phrases, as well as allowance for conversationa l practice. I like for teachers to be patient, down-to-earth , and good humored.

Hello. I am interested in hiring a tutor for my family, but with seprate lessons for the children and for my husband and I. We jsut got back from living in Hong Kong for a year and a half. And even though Cantonese is native there, the children, aged 5 and 10, took Mandarin in their internation school and my husband and I took private Mandarin lessons as well. We would very much like to continue with our lessons. We are all mainly beginners but at somewaht different stages. We would probably like to have 1 or 2 sessions a week. I am looking for a relazed teacher who doesn't jsut go by a book. If you could provide some information about lessons you have offered in the past as well as your approcah for teaching, I would appreciate it. Thanks you, Stephanie Keating
