I am a beginner in Russian. I only know approximately 30 words or that I can say and I have been to the former Soviet Union a few times and I have enjoyed my time there. My reasoning for learning Russian is because my lady who I am corresponding with is Ukrainian and I want to have Russian as a second language so that I can speak to her in her language. I feel I need help in everything, I will devote as much time as needed until the instructor and I feel we are confident that I know Russian as a second language. Qualities I am looking for is an instructor who is patient, can make it interesting and is able to work one on one.

I really would like to learn Portuguese as I have many friends and family who speak the language. Currently, I am able to comprehend many cognates to French but am very much at the beginner level and would need to start from scratch. I am able to allocate 2-4 hours per week toward learning the language in person with an experienced instructor. Most important to me is working with someone who has done this in the past and has supplies and tools to make learning fun. (flashcards, games, vocabulary lists). This person should be able to teach proper grammar as well.
