I've been having MAndarin in Brazil for 4 months and I'm movin gback to USA so I'd like to continue my education. I believe learning Mandarin is a huge diferential for business world. I'd like to have 1 class a week and I think 1 hour and 30 minutes is enough. Of course I'll have to study at elast 30 minutes every day to memorize the lessons. I'm looking for a native Chinese to be my teacher. Also i'm not learnign the Pinyin methodology.
What methodology do you use? Do you provide the material to study at home?

I would like to eventually become fluent in Japanese because my wife is from Japan. I am currently at a beginner, to maybe a low-level intermediate. I would like help with grammar and conversation. I am hoping to meet someone who can explain grammar rules to me and help me practice my conversation skills.
Depending on the price of lessons, as well as my schedule; I will be willing to meet/talk once week. Perhaps sometimes more often, and maybe sometimes less often. I'm not in a huge hurry to become fluent, but fluency is my goal.
