I am not quite a beginner, but I might as well be. Chinese was actually my first language - as a small child it is all that was spoken in my household. I have since forgotten a lot of my Chinese and was never able to read or write. My goal is to significantly increase (re-develop) my spoken vocabulary, and begin the process of learning to read and write in Chinese.

I know some.I have studied german for a long time on my own.I can't have a conversation in german,I am not building on to what I know.So I am looking to find a way to learn german so I can have a conversation in german.I want to learn german for my self and I had grandparents that talked the language.I need improvement in grammer and conversation. Hello,
My name is Michael Elkmann and I am a 21 year old Paramedic/FF from Chicago. I am interested in learning the croation language because I am very proud of my heritage and I believe very strongly in passing the heritage down my family line and keeping the language, music, dancing, and customs very strong. I felt deeply sad that my family moved away from my croatian grandparents when I was very young, taking away alot of learning oportunities that I might have had otherwise. In school I became very proficient in the Spanish language, as I took 10 years worth. I recieved a 90% or higher in each year of class because I am very good with learnig langages. I would be starting very fresh with the croatian language as I have never had time to learn. I hope that this learning oportunity would also prepare me well enough that I would be fluent enough to pass a government language proficiency test. I am hoping to make a career move into an agency such as FBI, CIA, ect. many years down the road. I need an instructor that is flexible with scheduling. I work an unbalanced schedule due to being on a fire department. I am though, willing to do all the traveling (unless online possibilities exist). English is my native language and I would like to learn how to speak Arabic (middle eastern dialect). I am not looking to learn how to write it at this time, just how to speak it.I would like to find a tutor since the Arabic language is difficult to find at universities and such. I am a quick learner and would like to learn how to speak the native tongue. I don't mind learning the proper Arabic, however, I want a tutor who will teach me the native way as well-- since this is how the people normally speak.
I am willing to spend 4-5 hours a week, if needed. I would like to tutor mostly on Saturdays but I am availabe during the week after 4:00 or 5:00 p.m.-- if needed.
