Greetings,
I am currently at the beginner level of spanish. My ethnic background is Hispanic but spanish was never spoken in our home when we were growing up. I want to learn spanish because it is an important way for me to connect with my cultural. I have always felt that I have been missing out on a lot of things because I do not speak and understand very little spanish. I would like to dedicate up to 10 hours a week to begin with. I want an instructor who is patient but strict with my mistakes and most importantly I want to be able to communicate with someone in spanish when I am finished with my lessons. I don't need to have a full out philosophical discussion but at least all the basics of regular daily communication .

I am at an intermediate level in all languages. I have taken courses and have coursework, I understand pronunciation , intonations, character stroke order (chinese) and have a limited vocabulary. It has been two years since I have seriously studied languages. With my full schedule, I need better structure and motivation to take my learning to the next level.
