I am an adult learner and I live and work in the Denver, Colorado area, USA.
I am fluent in Spanish, conversationa l in Mandarin and understand a good deal of Yiddish(a combination of German and Hebrew).
M y partner and I plan to visit Sweden in summer 2007. My goal is to become conversationa l in Swedish and to be able to read and write in the Language.
I am a beginner and wish to have a solid foundation thus I would like to have private lessons approximately once a week. I know from my experience learning a new language is lifetime work. Yet, I believe it's realistic to study for the next year and a half in order to be able to have an intelligent conversation with a native Svenska.

I know some basic Dutch from my friends who live in Amsterdam and from studying lessons on a CD and book.
I'm eager to learn more. I'd like to eventually be fluent in Dutch. I am studying as much as I can everyday.
I'm looking for a tutor so that I can hear the words being spoken and can get feedback on my speaking. Also, it helps to be able to have a partner when I'm going through dialogues.
