I am a begginer I only know a couple of words and phrases. I really really want to learn tagalog because I am filipino and I hang out with and are always with filipinos including my family and they all can speak it but me and I am just really interested in learning this language. I feel I need help on basiclly everyhting that you need to know about the language. I would not mind spending 2, 3, or 4 hours to learn the language. I wish for my teacher or lessons to not jump from one thing to another so fast thats probably all. Thank you very much for your time and I look forward for your help!

I am a beginner, who would like to be able to communicate with my cousins in the Philippines. I am looking for a teacher who will be flexible with my work schedule in which i usually get out of work from 7pm to 8:30pm. I would also like a teacher who is not only fluent in tagalog, but in speaking pangasinan as well.

I am truly a beginner in tagalog and the visayan dialect known as karaya. I have been married to my wife for nearly two years and am planning on a nice retirement. We have two children both living in Manila Pasig City waiting on Visas to come to the United States.
I love my wife very much and also am in love with the country of the Philippines. Recently I tried to move to Manila in hopes of finding a job but found that my lack of ability to communicate was more of a hinderence then expected.
I am an educator as well as a retail sales managar and have had to move back to the states in order to support my family. I would like to communicate better with my wife, as well as seek opportunity to find employment (even though i am not considered to old at the age of 36).
I will dedicate as much time as i possibly can (2-3hours) a nite to aggressively learn this language.
I need a teacher who has patience and is willing to explain what it is i am saying incorrectly. My wife has tried to teach me but often looses patience because she can not explain to me in english what i am doing wrong or why a sentence is missing some essential words in my opinion.

Beginner.....w ill be spending time in the Philippines with close friends that I recently met and would like to get a basic grasp of the language. I am retired so my schedule is flexible and I will be living about half of the time in San Francisco and the rest at my home in Lake Tahoe.
