My main wish is understanding and communicating in Tagalog with my wife's family. I also wish to know how to ask random people questions when shopping or looking for things. I do know some words in Tagalog but at best a very very beginner level. The time I can put in is about 2 hours or so a week, this can change depending on the lessons or even classes on how fast I learn or how slow. In my teacher someone who is 'fluid', meaning they can see what and how I pick up the best and adjust lessons towards my needs. Easy to talk to, and very patient. I don't mind learning in a class setting or 1-1. Like I said depends on what the teacher thinks are my needs and what would work best. Someone reasonably priced as well, sorry to put that in but I've had people offer and want exorbitant amounts of money just for one lesson. Thanks for taking the time to read this and consider.

I want to learn Tagalog to be able to speak it fluently with my fiancé and the locals, when visiting the Philippines. My language level is beginner, the areas, where I‘m going to need a lot of improvement would definitely be grammar, vocabulary and conversation. For that, I want to dedicate at least 1-2 hours and what I’m expecting of the lessons are to be varied, creative and fun at the same time whereas my teacher to be patient, friendly and motivating, but firmly.
