Currently, I have no experience with this language. I would love to learn, for communication with friends and their family members. I will be starting my learning from scratch. Depending on my ability to learn the language, I will have friends to practice with but would love to learn enough to suprise them with my efforts. I would enjoy to have a teacher that is fun and patient, using differant techniques. I am willing to put the time in, if I feel I am excelling in it and my teacher meshes well with my learning skills.

I have taken two college courses in Russian. More importantly, I have passed two college courses in Russian. The grammar really scared me towards the end. My grammar could use work, but I am really more comfortable with it than my conversationa l ability.
The language, especially the appearance of the written words, has always intrigued me. My family have Russian books throughout the house, and I have always wanted to be able to read them.
I am fine continuing my studies without a tutor or teacher. I am creating the account on this website to give a review a Russian teacher who really deserves a good write-up, Anthony Dahlen.

I fist heard of this language when I was doing a search of the most common languages in the world. I only know a few phrases but I am very interested in knowing much more. My first phrase I learned was I love you and the way the words sounded together was mesmorizing. I hope to go to Bengladesh for a year during or after college to volunteer.
