My name is Kiran. I am 24 years old and would like to learn the Hindi Language. My parents are from Guyana, I was born in America and we all speak only English so I would like to be more connected with my culture by learning. I am a beginner but have been slightly familiar hearing the language in movies and from hearing friends speak. I am available in evenings after 5:30 and looking for a teacher who will spend the time with me that I need to learn to speak this language fluently.

I have been fascinated with different cultures in the world and I do hope one day I will be able to travel abroad. One thing I love is learning the language. I am a Filipina and lived there most of my life so I am fluent in it, and English is my second language. For a few years I've been on and off, learning Japanese and Korean by myself but whenever I fall of the wagon, it takes a while before I can continue again. I can read Hangul, not very proficiently or fast but I can read it. I wish I can broaden my language skills better and be able to use it in the future.

My family heritage is Italian. Some of my father's family reisdes in Rome and I would love to be able to converse with them in our 'native' tongue.
I am currently working with two programs: one is a CD driven program with a workbook. The other is also a CD based program following along with Italian conversations . They are excellent for helping me develop the correct inflection in my voice, however, I feel I need to engage in more of a one on one conversatio with an Italian teacher.
I would love to work with someone who will guide me through this process.
