What I want to do is to rent a house for one month in Puerto Rico somewhere near a beach at which one can surf and come there with my 3 granddaughter s and a female friend to learn Spanish in the morning and go to the beach in the afternoon. (or vice-versa) The granddaughter s are 17, 13 and 6 years of age. The two eldest have had Spanish in school but their accents are really really bad. I speak some Spanish, usually in the present tense. The 6 year old knows phrases. I cannot tell from your ad where you are. Are you in Quebec? If so, can you pass this message on to someone in Puerto Rico? I am having a difficult time doing this. I hope to hear from you. eaooms P.S. We are doing this because it is important to have a second language and Spanish is the most prevalent language after English in our area - New Jersey, USA.

Hello,
In recent years, I've grown a real heart for the people of India. In my current job in IT, I found myself working with mostly Indian people and some have become friends. I'd love to be able to connect with them more when they are speaking Hindi around me whether it's at work or outside of work. I enjoy their culture, food, music and of course movies, and have tried to pick up a few things here and there. I've always had an interest in languages and would love to start learning some Hindi in a more structured environment, instead of trying to pick it up in bits and pieces. It's so hard to learn when you don't even understand sentence structure of the new language or the basics of grammar. (As it is very different from the romance languages.) I am at the WAY beginning and am coming in with basically only a knowledge that would help me order off the menu at Mayuri. I'm hoping to find a local teacher who is female, around age 30-45, kind-hearted and interesting. I'd like to start off with one night a week and then go from there. I am writing in regards to learning the Portuguese language. My proficiency is at a beginner level. I want to have the ability to speak, read and write Portuguese fluently without having to think in English first. I am very serious and dedicated to learning Portuguese.
