I am an American college student in Claremont, CA. In August, I will be going to India (Madurai, in Tamil Nadu to be exact) for three months to study and do research on Indian culture. I would like to make an effort to speak the native language of Tamil while I am there. English is my mother tongue, and I do not have any previous experience with Tamil.
In terms of time commitment, I am on a full-time student's schedule and budget, so I would probably only be arranging for 3-5 hours of lessons per week. I can learn either in person, via the phone, email, or online.

Hi my proficiency level is at a mid- beginner level.
I've purchased language software, but haven't had luck in finding advanced telugu tutorials.
I am learning Telugu for personal pleasure and to improve family ties.
I feel that I need improvement in grammar and conversation.
I can dedicate one to two hours a day to learn telugu.
