Currently, I am a beginner in the Ukrainian language, however, my family speaks and I feel I need to. I have a small grasp on grammar, however, I know the alphabet and various words.I often have trouble conjugating and spelling due to lack of knowledge. I really am interested in the language and will probably dedicate up to an hour each day trying to learn. In a teacher, I am looking for an intelligent and experienced individual that wont become easily frustrated. The faster and better I can learn the language the happier I will be.

I am just starting off. I have many friends who all speak Hindi (amongst a variety of other languages) and I always feel like I am missing the punch line while in the group :(
I also am looking toward entering project management as a career choice, and with the IT growth in India, I feel that learning Hindi as a second language can only serve to make me more marketable in today's growing global economy. My skills and my accent are pretty bad from what I've heard from friends, so to learn from a native speaker would be ideal. I am willing to take instruction from my personal coach to determine how much time I should dedicate to learning.

I have taken a introduction course in Brazilian Portuguese but the professor was an upper level professor and it was evident to everyone in the class she was disgruntled with teaching a 101 course. I have a genuine desire to learn the language as I have been dating a Brazilian woman for nearly a year and though her English is perfect, it is sometimes difficult to communicate with her family. Also, I have certain career aspirations that I feel being eventually fluent in Portuguese could benefit me greatly.
I have an aptitude for learning foreign languages and consider myself relatively proficient in Spanish. I feel comfortable in grammar and structure in Spanish which as I understand it is relatively the same in Portuguese.
My main concern is being able to freely communicate with a native speaker. I need a teacher who is somewhat patient with me and will speak slowly while I am learning (the class I took was completely in Portuguese and the professor spoke so quickly that no one understood where we were in the class). I still consider myself to be a novice in Portuguese with limited vocabulary under my belt. But I tend to be a quick learner and I would have plenty of opportunities to practice with my girlfriend outside of class.
