I am as green as can be in this area. I have absolutely no knowledge of the Chinese language other than it being Chinese!
My primary reason for wanting to learn to speak Chinese is to broaden my employment opportunities . I would like to be a translator for business. On a personal level I also have a desire to broaden my horizons and learn more about Chinese culture.
I work quite a bit but I think I would be able to dedicate 12 - 16 hours a week between classroom and study.
I want someone who can teach patiently and thouroughly. passionately and systematic.

I have no previous experience with the Irish language. I wish to learn this language because of what it represents -- the language of my ancestors. I need improvement in all areas seeing as how I have no previous experience. I'm currently a full-time student and would like a schedule that includes a full lesson on the Irish language but is also very flexible. (Some weeks, I will have a lengthy amount of time available and, some weeks, I will have only a few hours a week.) I am looking for a teacher of the Irish language who is capable of teaching for a varied schedule like mine.

I am a beginner. I want to learn the language because I have family in Rome and while I visit each year, I cannot communicate with them. I would like to be proficient enough to have a simple conversation within 6 months. My husband has expressed interest in learning Italian and I thought it would be fun for the 2 of us to do it together. We are beginners as we know nothing.
We just want to learn---talke d about retiring in Italy sometime in the far future and we are thinking about taking a trip out there next year as well.
I am looking for a teacher that can work with our schedules, make it fun for us, and to balance our 2 different learning styles.
Price is a factor - if we could balance homework with personal lessons and maybe CDs - that could help us all!
