I have very little Japanese experience, and that is limited to flash cards from a free program. I wish to learn Japanese in the summer. The reason I wish to learn japanese is because I was always a fan of anime and manga, and I believe that it will help me get the most out of media if I learn it. I am a beginner.. I have read a couple of books about Japanese language and tried a bunch of interactive video lessons, but i still consider myself as a newbie since my study of the language is inconsistent.
Im very much interested in learning different languages, as well as their cultures, Japanese is really on top of my priorities with regard to learning languages. I wanna reach out to the world by communicating , not just by using the universal language (english), but their own language as well.. Since its been awhile now when i last held my Japanese book, i am very driven to learn it now and i am very much motivated..

I would consider myself a beginner, but I do know most of the letter in the cyrilic alphabet and can make out words. I don't always know what the words are, but I have tought myself as much as time has permitted me (I am a full time college student). I know the basic, 'hello', 'how are you' 'my name' and some more than this. My husband is from Odessa, UA and speaks Russian fluently, as it was his first language. We visited there about almost 2 years ago, and are going back this summer. I set a goal for myself to speak better Russian, but just have not had the chance. I would really love it if you could help me out.
