I spent three weeks in Russia during the summer of 2005. I am a fairly quick learner when it comes to languages, so I had a pretty good grasp on the language. However, since I have not had a chance to practice it with anyone, I have forgotten a lot, though I think it would come back to me after studying for a short time.
I would like to further my knowledge of the Russian language for several reasons. I am Russian through heritage, so I would like to be able to connect with some families better. I love learning foreign languages, and I think it is one of the best ways to learn about another culture. In the long run, I think that Russian could help further my career as well.
I would prefer face to face contact for my lessons because that is the way that I learn best.

I am interested in learning conversationa l Polish. I know only a few words from a previous visit to Poland. I plan on frequently visiting Poland and need to be able to communicate there. Hello. I'm trying to learn Japanese and have been doing so for years, however I am still a beginner. I wish to learn the language so when I finally have the vacation time saved I can visit Japan and not need to hire a translator. That and I am a huge fan of the culture as a general whole.
