Hi. I would like to learn Mandarin myself first, and as soon as possible to get started. More importantly, my husband and I are adopting an 8 year old little girl from China who has been living in her orphanage for 5 years and is in her first year of school there. We hope to be able to bring her home about April of 2008. I'd like to hire a tutor to help her get acclimated and ready for public school in the US in the Fall. I am wanting someone to come to my home about 1-2 times a week. Thank you.

I am beginner to intermediate, but I have done some self study. I know some basic vocabulary, and conjugation of verbs (simple past, present, simple future, present progressive). I have learned the alphabet and how to adjoin the letters to make words. I can write with vowel accents, and can make out some words. I have a feel for the language since my husband, in-laws and friends speak around me.
I want to learn because I want to be able to communicate in farsi with my husband, and children (when we have them!!).
I need most improvement in conversation, making sentances, tenses, and vocabulary building.
I would like to do one or two hours a week with the tutor, and I have plenty of time for homework/self -study.
Qua lities I look for in a teacher... I would prefer a female teacher. Other than that, I get along with anyone and I love to learn.

Hello,
I will be happy to learn Sanskrit - the oldest and sacred language or Hindi which is so beautiful. It's a part of my spiritual education.
I'm easy-learning student and I do speak 4 languages. I need help with the beginning level (pronunciatio n, base grammar etc).
The preferred schedule is 2 times/week at evening time (or, the best - on weekend, any time).
The word 'Teacher' is very special for me.
