Greetings.
I am looking for opportunities to study Spanish in the state of Tamaulipas, at a language school or with a tutor. I would drive from Wyoming to Texas and then take a bus or train into Mexico. I might spend my first two or three days in a hotel, but then I would enjoy living with a family. I would like to study a few hours each weekday, three-to-five weeks in November and early December, with a teacher one-on-one, in a smaller town, if possible, so a city like Tampico would not be my first choice. My Spanish is improving (intermediate ), but I need more practice with conversation and subjunctive forms. Puedo hablar y escribir un poco, pero yo evito el uso del subjuntivo. My plans are flexible. I have my bachelors degree from Texas A&M University in Spanish but yet neve studued abroad. My level of Spanish is intermediate but I am needed to be advanced in order to pass the Texas teacher certification . I am looking for weekly lessons over the next several months to build confidence in my speaking as well as touch up on some very important grammar issues. I am looking for a highly qualified teacher who will challenge me and make be a Spanish speaker. I am very dedicated and determined to pass this test!

I recently took about 1 1/2 semesters of Japanese at community college but was unable to finish due to conflicts with my new job. I have alot of interest of interest in the Japanese culture and study Rinzai Zen Buddhism as well. I hope to obtain sufficient fluency in Japanese to be able to pass the JLPT tests and find a job using Japanese. I am willing to spend a few(3-5)hours week studying.

I am eager to learn Russian for a multitude of reasons, first and foremost because it is the native language of my fiancee and her family. We are getting married in 13 months and I desire to be fluent by that time. I have taken one semester of Russian at George Mason, but times for follow on classes don't fit my work schedule. A private instructor would suit me best, as my travel schedule would limit my ability to attend regular classes.
I can dedicate one or two sessions per week depending on the length and price. I would prefer a native speaker, but it's not an absolute requirement. Once fluent in Russian, I would like to learn Arabic, French, Farsi, or Pashtu. An instructor with multiple languages that I learn well from could turn into a long term instructor.
