I went to a Sikh boarding school for three years in Punjab, but learned very little Punjabi because of the prominance of English speaking students. I'd say my proficiency level is beginner, but because of my exposure to the language, I could learn very quickly. I can read and write fluently. I'm learning the language because I'm a Sikh and think I should be able to speak in that native language. I need improvement in conversationa l skills, sentence structure, and spelling. I would like to dedicate at least three days a week for however extended amount of time to work around my working schedule. I would like a teacher who speaks proficient English and has an enthusiastic approach to teaching the language.

We are a language school in immediate need of a bilingual(Tag alog/English) teacher/inter preter for elementary age students. This will be for 4 to 5 hours per week and will pay $30 to $40 per hour based on experience, plus mileage.

Proficiency Lvl: Beginner (I tried before at a NYC school, was not successful.)
Reason: Career Advancement, etc
I do not know how/were to start.
I want to learn the language, once started. (The teaching instruction at my past school was not appropriate for me.)
I would expect the teacher to evaluate a student's progress and what is needed to learn the Chinese Mandarin.
