I am passionate about languages, and would like to learn as many as possible. I am conversationa l in about 16 languages, 2 of which I would consider myself pretty fluent.I would like to really focus on becoming more fluent in other languages. Below are the languages I would like to progress in, and a little background. I would be interested in at the very least 2 hours a week. I do travel quite frequently and would like to be able to communicate more fluently.
Qualities I am looking for are - native speaker, strict, yet fun, and someone who is willing to answer a LOT of questions.
Arabic- Studied for 1.5 years several years ago, would like to pick it up again
Hindi- Conversationa lly, would like to learn reading/writt ing, and increase my vocabulary
C hinese- Studied for 6 mths, familiar with approzimately 100 characters
G erman- Father from Germany, understand it, but never really officially taught it, so would like formal training.

I'm taking an elementary Japanese class this coming semester (Fall 2007). I would like to have extra help on the side. I'm planning to travel to Japan, possibly get a job there once I've completed a Master's degree in Finance. I'm most interested in conversationa l Japanese. Two hours per week is good enough. If I should need to add more times later, I will let you know.
I'm looking for a teacher/tutor who is efficient in both speaking adn writing Japanese, and who is friendly and accomodating.

My son, Ian Pierce would be the student. He is a 16 year old junior at Trinty Prep. He is interested in studing International Relations in college. He has been studying Spanish since 8th grade and will take 4 years of high school Spanish. He now wants to begin Chinese Mandarin lessons. A small group situation would be ideal. We would want the lessons to be somewhere in the Oviedo/Winter Park/UCF area, either after school or on Sat. or Sun. Please contact us if you think we are a match.
