I am a new student to the Russian language. I would like to learn it because it is my husband's native language. We are having a baby and plan on teaching the child both Russian and English. Also, his parents speak Russian and we plan on visiting them in Lithuania on a yearly basis. I want to be able to speak comfortably with his parents and friends. I have begun learning the alphabet, pronunciation , and I know a few words but I am far from being able to hold a conversation in Russian. I am willing to dedicate a lot of time to my learning. I am looking for a dependable teacher with experience teaching Russian and one who finds it easy to explain the multiple facets of the language. Ideally I would like a teacher that I can meet with every week, but would be fine if it is only once every two weeks. I also have a few workbooks if they are needed to ease lesson planning.

I travel to China approximately twice yearly, visiting the Daoist Temples and learning medical qigong. I find that I need to be able to converse in the native language, to maximize my experiences there. I would like to have a private tutor because I travel so much, I cannot commit to consistent days of every week.
