My husband and I will be traveling to Italy July 20. My husband has a desire to be able to speak the language enough to communicate. My proficiency level is zero. I have never studied Croatian. I can say, 'hello. how are you' and not much more. I majored in Spanish in college and have always had a desire to learn a third language - i picked Croatian in attempts to communicate to my boyfriend's family. I wish to dedicate at least an hour a week to lessons in addtion to my personal practice and study. The most important qualities for a teacher are proficiency in grammer, patience, and someone who teaches about culture as well.
