My proficiency level in tagalog is begginer. I have purchased two books to study tagalog and a dictionary, but I am having a hard time with the verbs and tenses. I'm learning Tagalog primarily because I love to learn other languages, but my wife is a filipina and speaks tagalog. She works full time and doesn't have much time to teach me the rules and concepts of the tagalog language. I learn how to pronunciate and have aquired a decent amount of vocabulary, but still feel like I'm not going anywhere. I would like to speak and teach tagalog to my children, I think it is better for them now to learn while they are young. I have subscribed to the TLC and am watching tagalog movies. I know to learn a language the most efficient way is to submerge yourself in the culture and the language where your are forced to speak and listen, but this is dificult to do because my wife is not a patient teacher, though she tries. It is much easier to speak english. I'm willing to commit 3-5 hours a week, if it is possible with the instructor. Some of the things I am looking for is a instructor with some experience teaching adults and is easy to get along with, I'm not a slow learner but I will require some patience. Also, an instructor who is native to the Phillipines and the culture, and give overall well-rounded lessons. I look forward to progressing in my skills with my new instructor and the experience of a new freind.

I have taken 5 semesters of Italian. I have also studied for 4 months in Italy. I am graduating from college in 1 month and I am looking to move to Italy, for graduate school. I understand almost all Italian, but I find that I am shy when it comes to speaking. I get frustrated. I want to be able to respond quicker. I feel that my 5 semesters of Italian in college have prepared me to read and write, but not to speak. I am looking for a tutor that I can meet with once a week or so, to just go over my conversation skills as well as help me to be comfortable with grammar. I want to be able to speak without having to conjugate verbs in my head. I am willing to study on my own time. I am looking for a tutor that will help me to be more confident in my speaking skills
