My name is Jonathan Thames and I am a student at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. I am majoring in Southeast Asian Studies and am extremely interested in working with the region in any way possible, be it politics/dipl omacy, interpreting, assisting refugees/immi grants here in the U.S.A., or working and living there -- I am also interested in poverty-allev iation, providing food for the hungry, and assisting the marginalized groups in any country. I am fluent in English, proficient in Spanish [Mexican/Sout h American], am studying Mandarin Chinese, and have studied Thai and Khmer[Cambodi an] on my own. I was not able to take the Thai class yet but would like to begin immediately in learning and a tutor is one option I am willing to consider. I am able to dedicate as much as 10 hours a week to language lessons. Thank you!

I am a beginner level. I know some words mostly about food. The reason I want to learn is I'm adopted from Korea but I only know English. I would like to speak Korean with my friends and go back to Korea to visit. I have time after 7pm to learn. I feel more comfortable learning in a class or tutor.

Hello,
I am learning the Japanese language. I would say I am a beginer, and I love to pracice speaking Japanese. I am just learning and practacing Hiragana. I can dedicate a couple hours a week or more to practicing and learngin from you my teacher.(Sens ei) I would like the teaching to be using e-mail, voice-chat, (like spkye or other service) and maybe videos.

I am 22 years old, and looking to extend my knowledge of basic everyday Portuguese. I have had Brasilian exchange students in my house since i was 10-11 years old and i know simple Portuguese, and i have a great undestanding of how the language works. I am planning a trip to Brasil for about 2-3 months next year and i want to brush up, and extend my vocabulary. I am willing to dedicate myself to a class everyweek or everyother week, which ever works for my teacher. I also have a Brasilian exchange student in my home, with whom i can practice with.
