I am very interested in learning the Egyptian Arabic language. I have been to Egypt for the past three summers, and am currently applying to The American University In Cairo. I would like to be able to communicate in Egyptian arabic. I am looking for a teacher that could offer me 1 to 2 sessions per week. Someone who is familiar with Egypt's culture and is reliable, fun, and deticated to teaching the egyptian arabic language.

I am a beginning student (i.e., I don't know any). I want to learn Brazilian Portuguese because I have fallen in love with the music of Brazil and the sound of this beautiful language. I would like to start with just a few hours a week. I would prefer to learn in an informal way, mostly oral with a little bit of written work. I'd like a teacher who is a native of Brazil and who doesn't mind digressing sometimes to talk about the culture, in which I am also very interested. I would like to learn as a part of a medium-sized group (4 to 6 students).

Proficiency - unsure but a little more than beginner. I have some reading/compr hension abilty.
Re asons - work related reasons; also I'm korean so I feel I should know more than my current level.
Are as - all areas can be improved but I'd prefer emphasis on speaking/comm unication if possible.
Time - once per week would be ok to start. I'd prefer one on one instruction in classroom setting if possible.
Teacher Qualities - someone with a good/effectiv e way to teach language.
