I'm from New York, but am hoping to move to Toronto within the next few months. I have a couple of job opportunities , but until I decide which one I'm going to take, I'm not sure how much time I can dedicate to learning Sign Language again. I have taken two years of Sign Language in high school, and am now 6 years out of it. I still remember more than I should, but have forgotten more than I'd like to. I would most likely be coming in at an intermediate level, but wouldn't mind a conference with someone to double check if I need to go back to the beginning stages. Either way, I would most likely have two hour slots twice a week to dedicate to relearning the language. If i discover I remembered or forgot more than I expected, more time can be set aside once I find out my work schedule. I guess I would prefer someone older than me (I'm 23) strictly for the sole purpose of me feeling like they have a lot more experience than I do. Lol. Other than that, someone who is patient, easily understood, and has strong hand movements. I would like to get a better handle on conversing, since it's always easier to point at something, sign it, and move on. I feel like conversations are a lot mroe fast-paced, and will give me a better grip on the language. I decided to learn sign language because i wanted to help people who were hearing impaired understand what was going on around them. They community is a part of every culture, and should be viewed as a whole. Without someone there to interpret, they are lost. I wanted to serve as a bridge for both sides.

I have learned Eastern Armenian I by the Pimsleur Language Program. My daughter and I live in Glendale, CA and are surrounded by Armenian people, culture and language. We want to communicate to all of our neighbors amd friends.
I already speak fluent English and Spanish. I have studied Italian, French and American Sign Language.
I am able to listen to casettes during the day. I would like to have a lesson once a week with my daughter who is 10.
We prefer a tutor whose native language is Eastern Armenian but we will consider Western Armenian.

I guess I'm an intermediate beginner. I had a few semesters of Japanese back in college. I'm learning for fun; I'd just like to be able to read japanese reasonably well & speak well enough to use it when I visit Japan. I think I'd like to do about an hour a week private lesson, and I'm willing to spend 4+ hours a week working on it on my own. I live in Half Moon Bay, CA, and work in Santa Clara.

I'm a beginner in Italian and Portuguese. I know some basic things in Italian since I have been trying to teach myself. I've found it difficult since I have no body to teach pronounciatio n in both languages. I am learning these languages because I believe the more languages you know the better of you'll be and I want to live in Italy someday. In both languages I need help in everything (grammar, converstation etc)I'll be dedicated to my language lessons on the weekends and sometimes on the weekdays, only since I have school. I would like a female teacher that is native in Italian or Portuguse or even both.
