I would qualify myself as having a beginner level of proficiency with the Spanish language. I studied some in college many years ago and have done some self study recently with books and an online service. However I feel that if I am going to experience any real advancement in my study I will need the direction of a teacher and the ability to ask questions and gain feed back. Although my desire to learn Spanish is for business purposes as well as personal, it is the business aspect that has caused me to seek a tutor. I am a realtor in an area with a large hispanic population(mo st are not bilingual) and being proficient in Spanish would be a great asset to me. I would prefer a private tutor with flexible hours but am willing to accept a small group classes if the schedule works.
