I lived in Japan and worked for GEOS as an English conversation teacher for a year and a half but unfortunately didn't take advantage of learning much Japanese while I was there.
Now I'm committed to learning Japanese so I can go back and have a more immersed experience in Japan. I am interested in learning conversation as well as reading and writing. Now, I would say I know many words in Japanese, but can't really constuct sentences. My listening ability is much better than my speaking.
I am looking for a teacher who can work with me intensively, a few times a week, for as long as I am in the Baltimore area. I want someone who is both professional and friendly and will push me to do my best and stay focused.

Stu dent at Rollins College in Winter Park, majoring in International Relations with a focus on the Middle East, think learning some basic Arabic is very helpful.
I would like to take lessons once or twice a week for the entire school year.
I am semi-proficie nt in Spanish (minoring in Spanish) and will need encouragement , although I am a hard worker, ready to start when I return to school the second week of August. Very serious about getting started ASAP.
