I have some knowledge of the Greek language, but consider myself a beginner. I will be traveling to greece next summer (aug. 2007)and would like to be more fluent in the greek language. I work 52hrs a week so I don't have all the time I would like to dedicate to learning, but I would like to spend at least 5 hrs a week learning. I would like to learn grammar and proper tone and pronunciation . I'd like to learn similarly to how I learned english, basically- I, you, he, she, it, they,and past,present, and future tenses. I'm also very open to new learing methods though. I would prefer the teacher be greek and live in greece at least a majority of their lives, because I know greeks that have spoken greek their whole lives and still can't tell me certain things I want to know.

I have always loved Japan's culture and language, but until recenetly I havent been able to pursue my dream. I have just bought several books on learning Japanese and even have a friend at work asking me questions in Japanese, but I am not able to get past verbs and my grammer could use some work.
I love to learn and I understand a little of the basic and can't wait to talk to the Japenese customers that walk through my doors at work. I want to pursue a career in linguistics and until I can get into college to make my dream a reality I figure start with the language I am Passionate about. I work evenings but am willing to work with someone's schedule. If you find me as a qualified student I will not let you down. I am a very quick learner and very dedicated to things I love. I may be a beginner but that is where we all start.

I am in a fairly unique situation. I am 1 class short of comopleting my bachelors degree from the University of Kentucky, which requires 4 semester courses. I had, back in 2001, completed 3/4 courses & was forced to withdraw from school...shor t an intermediate French class from graduation. I have now enrolled in an Independent Study version of the class necessary, however my French comprehension (which was lacking even while actively studying in college) has even gotten worse. I'm seeking assistance with a 30 assignment course....loo king for some serious, and patient-minde d help!
