I am extremely interested in learning Arabic. My father was born and raised in Amman Jordan and my mother is half Lebanese. I am at a very basic level of Arabic and would like to start from the very beginning. I wish to mainly concentrate on conversation. I am looking for a teacher who is patient and would give me the knowledge I would need to hold conversations in Arabic in everyday life. My mother and sister would also like to learn with me. We are looking for someone who will teach all three of us and give us a good price.

I recently completed a six week intensive Arabic program in Tunis, Tunisia where I reached chapter 9 in Al-kitaab. I am a student of International Political Economy and am interested in learning Arabic in order to enhance my studies and for future career purposes, in addition to personal enjoyment. Areas where I need particular improvement are conversation and reading, while I am much stronger in writing. I would like to study 2-3 times per week for one to one and a half hours per lesson. I hope to study with a teacher who is patient but will also challenge me, in lessons that are organized and that force me to speak as little English as possible.
