I am a beginner who knows the arabic alphabet and can read, but no comprehension . I would like to learn more about the arabic language b/c I am a muslismah and I also plan to travel to Morroco soon. I am a beginner in learning Hungarian. I have had a few introductory classes and know some words and grammar. I am planning on being a regular and maybe even permanent missionary to Hungary one day. I need help with grammar, pronunciation , and conversation. Particularly, I am interested in preaching and teaching the Bible in Hungary. Because of this I am interested in being able to speak so as to sound as native as possible. I am hoping to spend from a few to several hours a week studying. I am looking for lessons that will accommodate my goal of becoming a fluent speaker and a teacher who is willing to be flexible and involved on a long-term basis in helping me keep up my studies when I am not abroad.

I would be a beginner in Lithuanian; however I have had a full year of classroom instruction in Russian. I would be learning the language to be closer to the members of my extended family who still live there and hopefully to visit someday. I would need instruction in all areas (grammar and conversation) but right now I would find it easier to practice the written form. Due to my rigorous school schedule at this time I can dedicate only 4 hours a week to intensive study right now, but I can commit to at least 12 + hours after the first of October 2006. I am mainly seeking to learn Lithuanian as it is spoken (especially in the southern part of the country), not so much the 'textbook' form. I seek a teacher who is laid-back and is willing to teach at my pace depending on how much time I have and how much I can handle at once. My former Russian instructor would become frustrated with me and yell, telling me I hadn't practiced the oral lessons. I did practice but I became nervous around her, and having her yell at me did not help my comfort level with the language.

I am Punjabi by culture but have never been able to speak the language but have always wished I could. I can read at a first grade level and am quickly loosing that ability as well. I am particularly interested in learning to speak/underst and more than anything else. I can meet once (maybe twice) a week for an hour or two. The areas I need most teaching in are grammar and conversation.
