I am currently learning spoken Japanese by myself using Pimsleur language CDs - Level 1 and 2. I am only interested in learning spoken Japanese at this time. I make business trips to Japan several times each year and would like to be able to talk with colleagues and others that I meet. I have probably spent more than 200 hours practicing spoken Japanese in the past year, but realize that I will not progress much further using only CDs.

I was in tanzania as a volunteer for four weeks. I have decided to go back in one year and would like to learn swahili before going back. I learned very little swahili while i was there, basic greetings, please, polepole, and so forth. I am willing to dedicate as much time is needed to be fluent or near fluent in swahili in a year. I would like a teacher who is fluent and preferably a native so i will hear the correct flow of the language. Asante sana.

Right now I am at an intermediate level when it comes to Cantonese. Both of my parents are Chinese as well as most of my family members. I can get by talking to them, but at a 6th grade level of speech. I need improvement in conversation especially since I will be traveling to China soon and will need to be able to speak at a higher level than I am currently. I don't have much time since I work two jobs, but am willing to put as much in as I can. I am looking for a dedicated, kind, and patient teacher than can help me learn the language.
