Hi, I am a beginner, in fact I don't know Oriya at all but wish to learn it because my fiance speaks Oriya. I think it is important to have a common language (other than English) to promote family bonding and to facilitate conversations with relatives.
I am interested in private lessons but could do internet/phon e if I don't find a tutor in my city! I am looking at 3-4 days a week, hour sessions.
As far as my teacher, I want someone who is fluent in Oriya and who will be able to teach a new language to a person who does not know it at all. I am looking for very basic lessons in reading and conversationa l Oriya.
