Beginner. My fiance and I are considering teaching overseas in North Africa or the Middle East. We want to begin learning Arabic now while we are still in the Chicago area. We will be getting married in Feb '06 and most likely leaving for overseas a year later, '07. We'd be interested in beginning lessons after we are married (Spring '06)

I live in Westchester and teach school in the Bronx, so the location has to be easily accessible for me by public transportatio n. I AM LOOKING FOR A TEACHER THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND WHO ALSO HAS A LOT OF PATIENCE. NICE CALM AND CAN ALSO HAVE FUN. I DON'T CARE IF IT IS A GIRL OR A BOY AS LONG AS THEY HAVE GREAT SKILLS IN WHAT THEY ARE TRYING TO TEACH ME.

But internet instruction is a possibility as well. I am looking for a teacher who will help me learn the language quickly. I am intermediate- advanced but have difficulty articulating.
