Hello -
I have no previous experience learning Hindi, but would like to absorb as much as I can as fast as I can. I will be going to Bangalore in hopefully about a month (November 2005) to do social work for several months and it would be an enormous help to know Hindi. I love learning languages and have no school or work schedules to work around, so I can and would enjoy dedicating as much time as necessary to classes, although times during the day would be preferable. I am available everyday except weekends. I would appreciate a friendly teacher who makes me talk as much as I can and who is willing to answer my questions. I am, however, on a restricted budget, so I would like to discuss fees. If there is a suitable teacher interested, please contact me! Thank you very much.

Hi, I have a basic background with the Spanish language from High School, but other than that I would be a complete newcomer to the Portuguese language. I am interested in learning the language because I find Brazil to be an extremely fascinating country, and I plan to at least vacation there extensively and perhaps move there eventually.
I am willing to devote as much time as is needed to learn. My work schedule is very flexible. I am willing to travel to my teacher (within reason). I am looking for a native speaker that is a patient and talented teacher.

I took French throughout high school, and complemented this with many linguistics classes throughout college. However, I have not taken a formal French class in years and wish to brush up, specifically for Graduate School requirements. I am looking for a weekly lesson taught by an easygoing tutor, or a weekly group class that is likewise relatively low-key. I am open as far as scheduling goes.
