I have taken japanese in college. I have always been interested in the culture as well as the language. I am still a beginner and have been out of practice for few years. My desire to teach and my love of japanese has lead me to obtain my TESL certification starting in September. I think I need all areas of improvement, but mainly I would like to improve on the converstion area. I would also like to learn some basic kanji. I am very dedicated and recently started to study from my japanese textbooks almost everyday. Worksheets, recommended videos and or other material would be great source for me to learn.

My proficiency level is beginner. I have no background in Itailian. I have taken a couple of basic Spanish classes.
I want to learn a foreign language for several reasons. First, I think it is important for everyone to know a second language. Second, I would like to eventually go back to grad school, and I think knowing a second language would really help me get into and be successful after school. Third, I don't think learning should stop after school, and I think exposure to new cultures is vital to personal growth. There is no better way to understand a culture than understanding the language of the culture.
I would like to learn how to read, write and speak the language. I am willing to dedicate 2-4 hours a week, but I need to have a teacher who will be flexible with my schedule. My job is demanding, and it is not uncommon for me to have to leave town on a moment's notice.

I am a beginner who has studied Russian off and on for many years. I now plan to visit Russia and want to be able to converse with a little confidence. I can work with a tutor once a week for a couple of hours each session. I would like a teacher who is patient and knowledgeable . One wihth a higher education would be great.
