I would like a tutor who can teach my two daughters along with myself. My children are 7 & 9 yrs. old. We have family members who can speak French. We would like to be able to converse with them in French, and be able to pronounce the written word. We hope to travel to France in 2007. We have have no formal learning at this point. We are beginners. I am looking for about 1 hour per week or every other week, in person, along with some type of lessons I can work with the girls away from the tutor. I am also looking for recommendatio ns, from the tutor, of ways to increase our proficiency such as recommended readings, DVD's, music, etc. Thank you for your consideration . I am currently living in Japan as an English teacher, but I'm really interested in learning the language as well. I've been studying Japanese for about 7 months, so my level is beginner. I take a lesson once a week for about 1 hour. While I enjoy it and it is very helpful, I feel that I don't get enough conversation practice. The focus is mostly vocabulary and grammar. So, I'd like to focus more on conversation/ natural speaking. I will be returning to America soon and will be living in Buffalo, NY. I would hate to lose the little knowledge of Japanese I do have, and would like to continue learning this great language. I've always wanted to be able to speak a 2nd language, and I'd like to be able to return to Japan someday and communicate with natives.
I'd like to dedicate about 1 hour to my language lesson, either once or twice a week. I'd like to continue to gain skills, but practicing those skills more with conversation. So, I guess I'd like my lesson to focus on one specific target or topic, then practice that topic using it in conversation. I think that the more I practice it, the better I will retain it.

I have taken four years of spanish classes while in high school and intend to continue learning spanish this fall in college--afte r three years away from the language!
As such, I'm looking for a private tutor to meet with a few times each week. I would like to rebuild my vocabulary, fine tune my grammer, and most importantly become comfortable speaking and understanding the oral language. I would like instruction from approx. the 20th of August to the 2nd of September.

I'm a business professional who lives and works in Mexico part time and in Denver part time. I have taken some spanish classes in school(2 in high school, 2 in college), but I am loking to become more proficient in conversation.
