I have no previous experience in Mandarin but would love to learn it as it has been a long time goal of mine. The reasons I want to learn it is my appreciation for the art and history of China as well as it being the most widely spoken language in the world after English. I am a graduate student who will be living in Argentina for approximately five months--Augus t, 2005 through December, 2005. I will be living in Buenos Aires to study Spanish. I am a beginner, and so I intend this as an immersion.
I would like to hire a private tutor who is experienced in teaching grammar, conversation, etc. Preferably, the tutor would have considerable private tutoring experience, as well as some formal background in education. I highly prefer a native speaker as well.
My schedule will be flexible, and I intend to dedicate three to five hours per day to tutoring.

Hi Kye,
I believe I have spoken with you before and you also know Nevada Lee. I am interested in learning Korean asap because my Grandma is going to be living with me and all she speaks is Korean. I understand it but have a hard time speaking it. I really dont need to read it though. Just be able to converse with her and translate when needed. I need to learn this as quick as possible and maybe even Nevada would be interested in joining. Look forward to hearing from you!
